Happy 3rd Birthday Abigail!

Today we had Abigail's Puppy Party! It was so much fun. When each child arrived, we put on felt puppy ears and painted a puppy face with facepaints. After everyone was here, we went outside for some games. We blindfolded the children and had them "tape" the tail on the doggie. Afterwards, they had to find 11 different colored paper bones to match to a poster. (Thank goodness I still had my teaching stuff, it has come in handy with the dog theme and many other craft projects!) For lunch, we had hot dogs (what else?) and the absolute best thing for Abigail - birthday cake! She has been talking about her cake all week. I don't think that she quite understood the concept of a party, but she does understand cake. She even thanked God in her prayers earlier in the week for her birthday cake. She thought Nana and Papa would be bringing it when they came to visit. It was funny because I was icing her cake this morning while she was watching The Lady and the Tramp in the den. While we were eating hot dogs, she finally spotted the cake. I showed her the two paw prints. She wanted to stick her finger in for a little taste. We had a great time. Happy Birthday to our big, little girl! We love you Abigail!
