Funny Face

At breakfast this morning, Abigail and I were practicing funny faces. I thought I would share a few of Abigail's.

Moving On Up to the...High Chair!

Hannah became a big girl again today. She got to sit in her highchair for the first time! She looks so small in the chair and so cute. She does like sweet potatoes. That's one veggie that's a success so far. I will try carrots again sometime next week and then later squash. She seemed to have a good time in the chair for breakfast and lunch today.

Abigail Reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear

Here's Abigail after a nap reading a great book, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?"

Picnic in the Den

Abigail and I had a breakfast-for-dinner picnic in the den one evening. We got out the picnic basket and everything! I made blueberry pancakes (Blue from Blue's Clues loves blueberry pancakes), bacon, Malt-o-Meal and we had some cheese and grapes. Fun memories.

First Veggie Pics

Are you kidding me, Mom?! That was the look I think Hannah was trying to give me when I offered her carrots to start with and then later green beans. She always watches us eat so intently, but I guess the tastes are so different to her, it will take a while to get used to them.

Hannah's First Vegetable

Hannah tried her first vegetable today - actually two. I am attempting to make her veggies. I made carrots for her at first but did not get them smooth enough, so when she tried them they actually came right back up. At dinnertime we tried green beans. She wasn't too sure about those. I got some pretty funny looking faces!

Time to Exersaucer!

After we returned from Texas and things settled down here a little (do they ever settle down with two little ones?) we decided to get out the ol' exersaucer that Abigail enjoyed so much when she was an infant. Hannah seems to really enjoy it also. We put it on the lowest setting so she can touch with her feet and bounce around a little. Abigail had to help her discover all the different toys on the exersaucer. Hannah got a little frustrated with her, but still tried to keep her smile that she always has on her face.

More Chuck E. Cheese, Please

We took Abigail and Hannah to Chuck E. Cheese's in Texas before we left town. Each time Abigail gets a little more brave with the video games and stuff. She is still not sure about the giant mouse, though! She had fun with her Daddy on the race car game.
