Christmas Time
For Christmas this year we returned home to Texas. We spent time with Shawn's parents first and then with my parents. It was wonderful to be back with family. We believe that Abigail really enjoyed herself more this year. She was such a little doll at the Day family Christmas Eve get together. We tried to have her say thank you after each present she opened. She started saying some thank you's on her own, too. Some of the gifts she did not get to open until we returned to Florida because there were too many parts to take out of the box, like her new kitchen and her A to Z zoo. Hannah will probably understand a little more next year.

Giggle Box Turned Over
Maybe it's from the busy week that's made her looney or maybe it's just from being kin to me, but lately Abigail has really had her giggle box turned over. Here's a glimpse of the sweet laughter I've heard today. I was playing with her at the table with Poochie. I am placing Poochie on my shoulder and then pretending the Poochie has scared me or that I am surprised that she is there.

Birthday Party
Today, Abigail and I attended her first birthday party! It was Ethan's 2nd birthday. I believe Abigail had a great time. We played outside (yes it was about 80 in December). Abigail played on the slide and swing and finally got brave enough to try to jump on the trampolene. She really enjoyed her cupcake, too.

Hannah's First Christmas Bear
Hannah received her first Christmas bear yesterday from a family in the church. They sent one to Abigail and Hannah. Hannah is really getting into things, especially making things go into her mouth this days! She makes some cute sounds in this video. Abigail came to the rescue towards the end of this video.
Little Singer
During the day now, you can frequently hear Abigail singing. Sometimes you can make out what song it might be, but other days, it might be just a few words that you can decifer. In this song, you can hear the word "Jesus". May His praises be on her lips and our lips all the days of our lives.
A Really Good Book
Hannah was really getting into her book about the farm, so much so she had to eat it! Hannah is getting bigger everyday as she can sit up a little with a good pillow behind her.

Yum, Yum
At Hannah's 4 month check-up the doctor recommended starting her on cereal. She didn't know what to think about it at first, but now she really enjoys her cereal time! She makes all sorts of happy noises and of course, a mess.
Watch out Picasso!
We had so much fun today using the new easel that Mimi and Baba gave Abigail. We had used the easel a little when they were here for a visit over Thanksgiving. We let her draw with her crayons on paper and also use chalk on the blackboard. Today, I braved the paints! Abigail is quite the little artist and painted the day away (not to mention the floor, her paint shirt, her face, hands, and Mommy's clothes as well!)

Abigail's 2nd Birthday
This year for Abigail's 2nd birthday, we just celebrated with Shawn, Hannah, Beeson and myself. We took her to Chuck E. Cheese's in Pensacola and she had a blast! They had a special area for toddlers and some other games that she could play. She really enjoyed the slide and went up and down many times. I made her a Blue's Clues Birthday Cake (cupcakes) since that is one of her favorite shows right now. She was more brave this year and dived right into her cupcake and did not mention that she had a "mess" until she was almost finished eating - a first for her! Last year, she got a little bit of icing on her hands and wanted it off immediately! She enjoyed her cake and her gifts, which came long distance from Texas.
